What Is Thy Daily Word?
Created in 1998, "Thy Daily Word" was developed with the mission
To uphold and proclaim the Authority of the Bible as the inspired and
infallible Word of God by providing programs and resources for Christian
congregations, groups and individuals to study scripture daily and come to
know the Lord Jesus Christ as their own personal Creator, Savior and Friend.
The website now provides Tools to assist in the Study of God's Word, including
- Search (using % character as wild card)
- Multiple Translations
- Interlinear of the scripture
- Strong's Lexicon for Crossreference
- Barnes Notes for Commentary
- Hymns related to the scripture
The website freely provides downloads of study materials and the works of Roger Riggs for building up the Kingdoam of God.
The programs will come back again one day, but they are temporarily turned off due to insufficient funding... The programs were designed to guide you at your own pace through
- the entire Bible
- a study of Romans, Hebrews or the Psalms with outlines and commentaries
- a reading of Genesis, the Life of Christ, or the Life of David
The wonderful advantage of "Thy Daily Word" is the convenience. Each morning you can receive an e-mail containing the day's reading. Each day's reading can then be pondered and applied during the day.
"Thy Daily Word" attempts to be as flexible as possible. You can participate in the full 7 day a week program, or you can choose 5, 3 or 1 day per week. "Thy Daily Word" was designed with features to temporarily Pause receipt of daily readings and ability to Activate receipt when you are ready to continue. If you get behind, you can simply "set your current day" to the day you started getting behind, and "Thy Daily Word" will start you back on that day.
Why Is Thy Daily Word FREE?
MATTHEW 10:8 says "freely ye have received, freely give." Thy Daily Word is a non-profit venture to spread the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thy Daily Word is food for your soul, nurturing your spirit through daily study of God's Word. Salvation is through Faith, and daily study of God's Word and the Holy Spirit's working through such study sustains faith.
